Sanger, CA - ADCO Announces New Assembly Manager

Arana has an extensive background in manufacturing (17 years) including The Gap Distribution Center and Sunrise Medical Manufacturing. He also has vast experience in Lean Manufacturing.

“We are excited to have Art on our team,” said Greg Ashbeck, Director of Operations at ADCO. “Art embraces Lean manufacturing practices and will be our guide and trailblazer to help move us even further forward in this area.”

The Sanger, California Company manufactures high-end packaging machinery, including horizontal and vertical end load cartoners, top load cartoners and closers, sleevers, tray formers, and robotic case packers. According to Scott Reed, VP of Sales, Marketing & Customer Service, “ADCO is experiencing an exceptionally high volume of orders and Art will have his hands full, managing both the assembly team and the Company’s increased sales volume.”

Although Arana is new to ADCO, his assembly team is made up of people who have built ADCO packaging machines for 15, 25, even 35+ years. In example, one of ADCO’s recent retirees worked in the ADCO Assembly Department since 1969.

Arana is also involved with the Fresno Institute of Technology, having chaired its Technical Division. He also lectures for the Asian-American Studies at Fresno City College. He is a graduate of Fresno City College, and previously served in the military (US Navy) as both a Jet Engine Mechanic and Seabee Construction Battalion Technician.
